Music is language and we learn it in much the same way we learn to speak. Initially we experiment with the instrument itself, making sounds, discovering our 'voice'. Then we imitate what we hear others do, eventually using these building blocks to express and develop our own ideas. We learn the syntax and grammar of music theory, and mechanical techniques that free us to express ourselves with greater impact. We learn to converse with others to tell a story collectively.
Lessons are tailored to where you are at as a player, and where you want to get to. They are also aimed at helping you discover the limiting beliefs and habits you may not even be aware of that are holding you back and are most often the culprit for being "stuck in a rut".
Lessons are $55 (USD) for 1-hour and done over Skype.
I recommend you have a notebook (preferably with some blank chord diagrams), an open mind and open ears.
To set up a lesson time, email firstname.lastname@example.org and put "lessons" in the subject line.
